Hi this is Judy and Amanda from www.sosimplyorganized.com . As moms and professional organizers, we are here to minimize your stress and chaos during this exciting time by giving you some simple tips to keep you organized. We would love to hear any of your thoughts or comments.
5 Simple Steps for the Perfect Nursery
1. Purchasing furniture really depends on your space. You will need a crib, a changing table and a place to store clothing. If space is limited, you can find a changing table pad that fits right on top of a dresser. If possible, a comfortable seat in the nursery is great for midnight feedings.
2. Your baby will be crawling before you know it so try to keep breakables and other small items out of reach. It’s never too early to begin baby-proofing. Cover outlets, hide wires and bolt shelving to the walls. 3. Consider a mobile over the crib and pictures on the wall and ceiling for baby’s entertainment. Babies love mirrors and music is a great way to soothe a baby to sleep. Be careful not to make the room too stimulating or else your baby will never want to sleep! 4. Choose a color or wallpaper appropriate for in infant but also one in which your baby can grow with. You can always change the accessories and toys within the room but it’s more difficult to change the walls and floors once your baby is settled in their room. 5. Use shelving if floor space is limited. Book shelves or cubbies, fastened to the wall, are ideal to house baby books and first toys. Customize your closets using store bought materials to maximize your space, consider covered bins to store out of season clothing.
Thank you,
