Any advice? I have a 5 month old baby boy and for the first 3 months I held him non-stop.Now at 5 months, after 5 minutes of not being held, hes screaming and crying.Im a single mom and I dont know what to do..I try the swing,I tried the carrying thing(4got what its called)and it just hurts my back. So,I just have to let him cry while I do dishes, laundry, etc. And its awful listening to him.Has anyone went through this and is there any solution for either one of us?

RE:Any advice? I went through the same thing with both my first and my seventh babies the first i just couldn't let my baby cry so the holding never stopped and it was hell on earth getting her detatched at the age of two my newest a five month old spoiled rotten baby boy is nearly six months and i am weaning him from being held all the time with the six older sisters always wanting to play with him it has been a challenge but it has been paying off he stayed playing quietly and happily on his mat for most of the day today i started by putting him on the mat or in the swing for a half hour every day and let him cry it out just make sure hes changed and full and slowly increase the time you let him cry he will get used to entertaining himself for a bit i promise
