Dizzy anyone?

So I just got the big positive test last week (yah J ) and have been getting really dizzy and nauseous… I of course expected the to feel sick but I didn’t know about feeling dizzy.  Is anyone else feeling this way?

RE:Dizzy anyone?

OMG I am only 6 weeks and I keep feeling like I am going to fall over all the time! I called the dr and they said to make sure you get up slowly and keep well hydrated.  Hopefully it works!

RE:Dizzy anyone? Oh yes!  I'm 8 weeks now and I've been feeling that way every since I became pregnant!  Trust me its not fun at all, but what I usually do is the moment I feel dizzy - well dizzy and nauseous - I sit down - yell at the hubby to get me something cold to drink - and eat some crackers - then after a lil bit I feel great and am up for a lil bit - just a lil bit - because my dizzy spells usually hit me really hard!   Usually though if your feeling that way just take it easy - I'm finding it hard myself to even eat a whole lot because of the feeling.  Drinking something cold always help me, try making sure that your sugar levels aren't too low, sometimes gatorade helps me especially with the gatorade and electrolytes, sometimes you may have a electrolyte imbalance.

RE:Dizzy anyone? Hello Newmom 1011
Yes, this also happens to me mostley in the first trimester. I promoise it gets better in the 2nd tri. There are two reason's for this one is vasodilitaion from increaced progesterone( your veins are opening to let more blood go to the babe) which results in low blood pressure and you become dizzy. This is worse by heat i.e. coming out of the shower, out in the hot weather, too many clothes and sudden moves from one position to the next. Number two low blood sugar could cause dizzyness, best treatment frequent small meals and/or snacks.

Good luck,
Bridgette

RE:Dizzy anyone? I forgot about treatment and tips for this.....
  1. Sit if you are out in public
  2. Drink some fluid water gatoraid (non cafeinanted) caffiene makes it worse
  3. If you are coming out of the shower lay down on your bed ASAP, put your legs up on a pillow so your feet are up above your head. This will bring the blood back to your head becuase you are vasodialating. Take showers in steps for instance I would wash my hair and shower in the AM and take another shower at night to shave my legs. If I did both my dizzyness was unbearable. I use oil of olay quench to keep my skin from drying out and I also use baby-oil gel (yet be careful this can make your shower slippery unless you have a non-skid surface)
Take care,
Bridgette

RE:Dizzy anyone? Yes I get very random dizzy spells but no nausea, somtimes I'll look up to talk to someone and get the dizzy light headed feeling. Though it's most disturbing when I get a spell while going up or down the stairs (mostly up).
