I can’t do it

Everyone is telling me to stop feeding my 11 mo old but I can’t do it!  I know it is a fact that she can make it through the night w/o eating but it kills me to hear her cry.  Dh thinks I’m nuts and gets mad every night when I get up to get her a bottle. Am I crazy, should I just do it?

RE:I can’t do it

I got up w/ ds 2X/ night until he was 10 mos old.  Same thing, everyone told me to go ahead and let him cry.  I just couldn’t fathom listening to him.. I thought it would be the week from hell and we’d never get through it.  One day I woke up and said todays the day.  That night he cried for 15 mins, went back to sleep and it was done.  Hes slept through the night since.

RE:I can’t do it I mentioned this in another forum, but I'll put it here as well. :) Music is an AMAZING tool with little ones! :D  I have a MP3 player (with a built-in speaker) in his room. We have a "moving and grooving" playlist, some "relaxing" music (for day "nap time"), and a "night time" playlist just for bedtime. When he wakes up in the middle of the night, I can give him his "binky," put on the playlist and he goes right back to sleep. :)  Also, because it's portable, I can take it with me to Grandma's or when we travel. Then, he has something he's familiar with despite being in a location other than his room. Classical, Smooth Jazz, New Age, etc. are all great genres of music to use. Also, most of the public libraries have audio lending areas now. Check out the children's section to look for lullabies, etc. that they may respond to. Then, if you find something you like, you can purchase a copy. Also, by having a playlist, I know my son is listening to "quality music" based on a theme instead of just a hodge podge of stuff or the radio. :)  Hope this helps someone. ;)

RE:I can’t do it my son still wakes up at night and he is 11 months old. If I dont feed he he will cry and scream foer hours until I feed him. Dont let people tell you to stop. Babies grow a lot some more than others so they may need to eat in the middle of the night still
