How much can a baby eat? I am a first time mom who has been breastfeeding for the last 5 months… I recently started my dd on rice cereal and it seems that she can’t get enough of it!  Is there a point that I should cut her off? Or should I just let her eat as much as she wants?  Maybe she really wasn’t being satisfied by breastmilk?

RE:How much can a baby eat? We started giving my son cereal last month and he would glom down 2 bowls!  I asked the dr about it and she said not to give him too much in the beginning in case there are allergies or anything. But it sure is tempting… he’ll eat a bowl and then sleep for 3 hours!

RE:How much can a baby eat? Oh wow… that’s great!  I was thinking of giving her formula but maybe I’ll just ask the dr if I can give her more cereal.

RE:How much can a baby eat? I just started giving my LO cereal too, I follow her feeding cues, but we take our time eating, so she has time to process what she is eating, it can sometimes take a few minutes for her to realize she is full. :)

RE:How much can a baby eat? Hello my baby is 5 months old almost 6 and she isnt satisfied until she has had a little bit of a bottle to suck on. I think they might just need to suck on something for a minute or two for it register that they have eaten. I also am starting her on the 1st food canned meats and she seems to love them.

RE:How much can a baby eat?

my lil kk has been eating baby 1st foods for a month now and she is only five months...the best thing to do is to continue giving them the same ammount of formula or breastmilk that they are use to and feeding them other food in between....and on the them wanting to suck on something try giving her a lil bit of baby juice just water it down...like half juice half water....thats what i have been do and kk loves it
