Can you depend on a home babysitter? I am preparing o go back to work this month and am trying to decide between sending our 3 month old t daycare or to have someone come to our home.  I have heard some nightmare stories about people not being able to rely on someone who comes to the house but would prefer to have our baby home instead of in a strange place.  For those working Moms, how did you decide?

RE:Can you depend on a home babysitter? It is a hard decision but I think the bottom line is that you need to do what’s most comfortable to you.  The truth is that daycare centers do not call out sick and most don’t even close on school snow days, so you will be able to depend on them… We chose to send our son to daycare at 8 weeks and has been a good decision for us.

RE:Can you depend on a home babysitter? Make sure you visit a lot of centers.  I found that they baby rooms varied and the programs for th kids as they got older varied as well… keep us posted on your decision.

RE:Can you depend on a home babysitter? I think having someone go to your home is the best!  For less $ than I would pay a daycare center I have someone who will also do light housekeeping and make the kids dinners!  Just make sure you interview a number of people and choose someone who’s right for you and the kids!

RE:Can you depend on a home babysitter? I wouldnt think that a daycare would be best.....unless you are really close to the person you have watching your kid....one of the best things about daycares that are different from someone coming to your home is that your baby will be able to interact with other babys which will be really good for him or her because then your baby will learn to interact with other kids well and play with other kids well which will be great for when they start school...i am looking for a job now and i am planing on putting my lil girl in a daycare when i do...also daycares do have a lot of good  programs that could help teach your baby and will be really great for the both of you (you and your kid) when he or she gets older....i might end up puttign katelyn in a daycare even if i dont get me a job just because i know it will be good for her in the longrun
